I am a registered chemical engineer with more than 20 years of environmental engineering experience. I have significant water pollution prevention experience, implementing commercial and residential programs to reduce discharges of heavy metals, pesticides, dioxins and other priority pollutants to sewers and storm drain systems. Since 2008,I have been a sole proprietor providing NPDES, source control, and pretreatment technical support to wastewater treatment agencies and recycled water providers. My past experience includes serving as the Source Control Manager at the City of Palo Alto, Senior Project Manager at RMC Water & Environment, and leading and facilitating local groups such as the Bay Area Pollution Prevention Group.

BAPPG: I also provide lectures throughout Northern California on behalf of the Bay Area Pollution Prevention Group. I speak to college classes and professional associations regarding how to protect water quality in their daily business.

My husband and I share our home in San Jose, California with a spaniel, and two cats. I enjoy gardening, growing food for us and for the bees, birds, and butterflies (ask me about my greenhouse!). We have also been appreciating a solar PV electric system that was installed on our home in November 2013 (courtesy of Cobalt Power Systems in Mountain View). We also enjoy spending time completely off-the-grid at our cabin and acreage in the Santa Cruz Mountains. We have enjoyed travels in the western and midwestern USA, as well as Europe, South America, and New Zealand.
